The source was WTMJ for this information according to the correspondence I received.
It is my understanding that at the present time the employees do not pay anything toward their retirement and the State government is requesting that the employees contribute 5.8% toward their generous retirement.
I retired from New Mexico under the State Public Employees Retirement program. At the time of my retirement I was contribution 16.3% of my gross salary toward our retirement system. I am certainly not anti public employee by any stretch of the imagination but having the taxpayers pay 100% of a public employee’s retirement is a bit far fetched.
I can only hope that the Wisconsin Governor stands by his guns and does not give in to the George Soros funded demonstrations.
